From Sketchbook to Serving Customers
Some of the best projects start with nothing more than a vision and a piece of paper. That's exactly how The Farmhouse began — an ambitious owner with a clear dream and the drive to see it through. From the earliest planning conversations, Taylor Upstate was involved from the ground up, helping translate that vision into a fully operational ice cream and dining destination on Route 22 in Patterson, NY.
What emerged from that process is genuinely hard to categorize — and that's part of what makes it special. The Farmhouse serves chef-quality American comfort food with real kitchen credentials alongside a premium ice cream and frozen treat program that stands entirely on its own. Soft serve, Flavor Burst specialty cones, wagon wheels, sundaes, and specialty frozen drinks — all under one roof, with the warm atmosphere of a place that was built with intention rather than assembled from a franchise template.
The menu reaches in every direction. Handmade warm cookies come with every meal. The ice cream program features Dole Whip alongside the full Flavor Burst lineup. The kitchen turns out burgers built from multiple cuts of meat and a rotating cast of specials that reflect real culinary ambition. The Farmhouse even serves beer and wine for guests looking to make an evening of it. The owner — approachable, passionate, and deeply invested in every detail — is as much a part of the experience as the food itself.
The guiding philosophy here is simple: dessert doesn't have to wait. At The Farmhouse, it's the centerpiece, not an afterthought — and the Taylor equipment running that program was spec'd and installed to match that ambition from day one.

The Full Equipment Lineup at The Farmhouse
Planned and installed by Taylor Upstate from the ground up — every piece of equipment working together to run a soft serve, shake, sundae, and specialty frozen treat program built for a destination-level operation.
The Taylor C722 is a high-production twin-twist soft serve machine built for serious volume. Runs two flavors independently or blended as a classic twist — the foundation of the entire frozen treat program at The Farmhouse.
Soft serve • Twist cones • Wagon wheels • SundaesThe FB80SS injects color and real flavor directly into soft serve as it dispenses — turning a standard cone into a fully customizable, made-to-order creation. Powers the specialty Flavor Burst cones and frozen drink program that gives The Farmhouse menu its range.
Flavor Burst cones • Specialty frozen drinks • Dole WhipThe Cool Chiller blends soft serve, milkshakes, or smoothies with mix-ins — cookies, candies, nuts, fruits, or coffee — into a chunky, thick, creamy blended dessert. Foot-controlled with a spoon agitator for consistent results at every order.
Cool Chiller blended treats • Mix-in dessertsThe Hamilton Beach HMD400 runs three spindles simultaneously — built for shake programs with real volume demands. At The Farmhouse, it keeps the shake line moving without backing up service during peak hours.
Milkshakes • High-volume shake productionThe Beverage Air MS58 keeps cold toppings at the right temperature and within reach at the service station — an essential piece of the sundae and specialty dessert program running at The Farmhouse.

A dual hot fudge pump keeps two flavors of hot topping ready for service simultaneously — eliminating wait time during a busy sundae rush and ensuring consistent portion control at the counter.
Hot fudge • Caramel • Hot sundae toppingsThe Server 92040 holds three dip coatings at the right temperature for consistent cone dipping — chocolate, white chocolate, and specialty flavors maintained service-ready throughout the day. No cold spots, no clumping, perfect dip every time.
